Nationals of the EEA and Switzerland
Nationals of Members States of the EEA (EEA: Member States of the EU and Norway, Iceland and, Liechtenstein) and Switzerland do not require visas to study in Sweden.
Nationals of non-EEA countries
Nationals of non-EEA countries must apply for visas to study in Sweden. It can take a long time for a visa to be granted and, therefore, non-EEA nationals should apply for courses or study programmes with an application deadline of 15 January for entry the following autumn semester and 1 August for entry the following spring semester.
